PlayStation Plus Monthly Games May 2023: Grid Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders
Sony announced their latest PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup in May 2023, packed with three exciting titles. This month's trio includes Grid Legends, Chivalry 2, and Descenders. The most exciting game in the trio is GRID Legends. Developed by Codemasters, Grid Legends is a racing game that combines thrilling action with an immersive storyline. Adding a narrative mode to the game offers players a new level of immersion as they engage in intense races while facing challenges that test their skills on the track. Players can expect to experience heart-stopping moments as they race through iconic locations across the globe, including Tokyo, London, and Moscow.
PlayStation Plus Monthly Games May 2023
April saw some excellent free games come to PlayStation Plus. Doom Eternal and Rider's Republic are my two favorites. If you missed out and have an itch for a fast-paced extreme downhill biking game, Descenders is free this month. If not, two other gems are worth grabbing before a new round of freebies comes in June.
GRID Legends PS4 and PS5 Gameplay
Racing enthusiasts are in for a treat with GRID Legends, the latest addition to the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for May 2023. This high-speed racing game features live-action cutscenes and an immersive storyline that will keep players on the edge of their seats.
With an impressive array of vehicles to choose from, including touring cars and GT cars, players can race on some of the most iconic tracks worldwide. The new race creator feature also allows gamers to customize and create their races, making every gaming experience unique and exciting.
I played the first GRID game (named Race Driver: GRID) on Xbox 360 and PS3 and haven't had a chance to play any of the sequels yet. This may be an excellent opportunity to hop back into the franchise and experience some of the best racing simulations available.
Chivalry 2 PS4 and PS5 Gameplay
Chivalry 2 has an intense and immersive multiplayer combat experience that will leave players on the edge of their seats. With up to 64 players battling it out in large-scale battles, the game truly captures the chaos and excitement of medieval warfare.
Customize your weapons and armor to suit your playstyle and choose from various game modes, including team objective, free-for-all, and battle royale. The realistic physics system adds an extra layer of depth and strategy to the gameplay, making every fight feel unique and challenging.
Multiplayer hack-and-slash medieval mayhem? I'm in! I've seen this game pop up many times on YouTube and the game store, but I've never had a chance to play it. Now with Chivalry 2 being added to the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for May 2023, I cannot wait to jump right into the battlefield and experience the thrill of medieval warfare.
Descenders PS4 Gameplay
Descenders is an exciting high-speed downhill biking game that offers players an adrenaline-fueled experience. With its customizable gear and different bike options, players can tailor their gameplay to suit their style. The game's procedurally generated worlds ensure that no two runs are identical, making each playthrough a unique and thrilling experience.
Descenders also include multiplayer modes and daily challenges, which keep things fresh and engaging for players looking for more. With its fast-paced gameplay and stunning graphics, Descenders is a must-play for fans of action sports games.
I don't like to admit it, but this was my first downhill bike game. It was a pretty cool experience, and it was my favorite (and only) downhill biking game until I played Rider's Republic (one of April's freebies, BTW). That game is fantastic, but since Descenders is free this month, why not check it out?
