STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor on EA Play - Here's what we know

It's December, and as a Star Wars fan, I am already hyped for a new game coming out in the next few months - STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor. Some pretty fantastic gameplay footage dropped recently, and I've been eagerly speculating about what the game will be like. Anyone who played STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order can assume we will see more fast-paced action and narrative-driven character-building. Today I will discuss what we know about Respawn Entertainment's next masterpiece and whether it will be available on EA Play and Xbox Game Pass.
UPDATE: STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor has been postponed by six weeks! The previous release date was March 16, 2023. Thanks to the delay, the new release date is April 28, 2023. The developers stated that more time is needed to improve gameplay and performance. Respawn may be taking cues from critics of the previous Star Wars Jedi game, where they wanted it to feel more "polished." Regardless, I patiently wait with excitement to play STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor!
What is STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor?
Respawn and Lucasfilm Games teamed up again to bring another story-driven STAR WARS experience. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a third-person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game set in the aftermath of the events of Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. Play Cal Kestis (played by actor Cameron Monaghan), one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, as you fight to defend yourself and survive in a galaxy under imperial rule. Experience an emotionally compelling story that explores familiar and new characters across the saga. We don't know much about the story at this point but rest assured, it will be a deep and emotional experience that fans of the series won't want to miss.
No Longer A Padawan
Cal is back, but he's no longer a Padawan. Now a mighty Jedi Knight, Cal must master the Force and face off against the Empire's most powerful enemies. Use your lightsaber, skills, and powerful abilities to fight for survival in an epic star-spanning adventure.

When is STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor coming out?
STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is set to come out on April 28, 2023. It's unclear whether there will be any beta tests or early access options for players who pre-order the game.
Will STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor be released on EA Play?
It has not been stated whether this game will be available on EA Play. Electronic Arts offers a lot on EA Play, but day-one access is usually a long shot. STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order is currently available on EA Play. STAR WARS Jedi Knight and Jedi Knight II are on EA Play Pro. Given this information, I can speculate that it could be released on EA Play Pro at the very least.
Will STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor be released on EA Play Pro?
The official EA Play app shows that EA Play Pro members can access the game with their subscription. For $14.99 a month, players can access an expanded library of on-demand games from the EA library.
Will STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor come to XBOX Game Pass?
Doubtful. Since Xbox Game Pass has partnered with EA for its EA Play service, players may get access through the EA Play service or possibly a discount for being "subscribed" to EA Play. EA has a history of not releasing major games on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor's release date is April 28, 2023. Players who pre-order either edition of the game will receive additional items, such as "The Hermit" lightsaber set. Pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will also give players access to exclusive cosmetic items inspired by Han Solo and Luke Skywalker from STAR WARS: A New Hope (I'm not sure if you need to pre-order to receive these items). The game is a fast-paced lightsaber combat experience that pits Jedi against each other in epic battles to become the ultimate survivor. This game offers a unique experience for fans of the Star Wars universe. Whether you are a veteran of lightsaber battles or just getting into them, Jedi: Survivor is a great way to spend some time in front of your console or PC monitor. We can only hope that EA Play and Xbox Game Pass will conjure up a deal to give us free access on day one.
