Updated: Jun 29

The Crew Motorfest: Your Ultimate Open-World Racing Game

I’ve always had a soft spot for car culture and open-world racing games. It’s been quite a journey watching these games evolve from classics like Need for Speed Underground 2 and Test Drive Unlimited to modern masterpieces like the Forza Horizon series. One series that has particularly captured my heart is The Crew. Now, with the upcoming The Crew Motorfest (also known as The Crew 3), my excitement is through the roof.

What Is The Crew Motorfest?

The Crew Motorfest is slated for release in 2023, and it’s shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the series. This time, the game is taking us to the beautiful island of O’ahu in Hawaii, embracing a vibrant festival theme. Players will get behind the wheel of various vehicles—cars, planes, boats—you name it, and compete against others in gripping online races. While the previous games featured a scaled-down version of the USA, this iteration zooms in on a segment of the Hawaiian archipelago, promising rich and diverse environments.

A Sneak Peek at The Festival Vibe

Yes, it seems like The Crew is taking a leaf out of Forza Horizon’s book with a festival atmosphere. According to the The Crew Motorfest website, it’s going to be “a one-of-a-kind festival.” Although we can’t yet be sure how original this concept will be until the game is officially out, the anticipation is real. Want to have a hand in shaping the final product? Check out the Crew Motorfest insider program, which, although currently closed to the public, allows selected players to test and provide feedback on the game.

Hawaiian Island of O’ahu: Your Playground

The island of O’ahu offers a captivating setting for The Crew Motorfest. From the bustling streets of Honolulu to the winding mountain roads, lush rainforests, and breathtaking beaches, the game promises a visually stunning and varied open-world experience. Whether you’re racing through the urban grid or navigating the slopes of a volcano, the game’s environment is bound to keep you engaged from start to finish.

Explore The Diverse Biomes of O’ahu

One of the most exciting aspects of The Crew Motorfest is the variety of biomes available for exploration. O’ahu's diverse landscapes—including rainforests, mountains, beaches, and urban areas—are not just for show. Each biome hosts different kinds of events: races, drift competitions, and free-roam opportunities. The game promises to pack all of these elements into one cohesive experience.
